​I found Christine by total accident after clicking "schedule a tour" on Zillow, and honestly, it was the best mistake I ever made. ​When she first called me back, I was on the verge of a full-blown panic attack. It was my first day dealing with mortgage documents, and I was drowning in a sea of W-2s and paystubs. To make matters worse, a different realtor I'd spoken to earlier that day made me feel like my price range (which I have made clear was not set in stone) was a joke and suggested I "just wait." So now on top of the paperwork stress, I was feeling broke af 😅. ​When Christine called to follow up on the Zillow lead, I had a mini-breakdown, muttered some gibberish, and we hung up. But after I calmed down, I reached back out. We immediately vibed. Keep in mind, this was after another realtor literally declined to show me the very home that Christine agreed to, because of my budget. Joke’s on them—Christine got the sale, and I got a new home! In all seriousness, I don't say this to bash anyone else I’ve worked with. Rather, I want to highlight that where someone else made me feel small and saw a lack of opportunity, Christine was compassionate and open to working with me even if it had turned into a longterm project. It truly felt like she was there to build a long-lasting connection, not just close a quick business deal. So! ​If you’re looking for a realtor, work with Christine Canales. She is incredibly personable, sharp, and a no-nonsense negotiator who doesn’t back down from a challenge. She took me from a panicked mess to a homeowner in record time.
